Hello, my name is Hypatia Rhodes.
I am a dark fantasy romance author specializing in character-led stories that show those with the darkest pasts often have the brightest futures. My work features strong themes of women empowerment, feminine rage, and trauma to strength. But my goals and aspirations do not stop at the end of a page.
I believe in putting my money where my mouth is, which is why 10% of all profits from my books are donated to efforts supporting survivors of SA and DV.
Holiday Shop - YWCA Clark County
YWCA Clark County is a local women’s organization that provides support and housing to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. I am managing a donation drive for the Holiday Shop this winter! 10% of the proceeds of my work will be going to fund these donations. Also, we are fundraising for this holiday drive! We appreciate any and all donations - information on donating coming soon. For every $200 donated, we will be choosing one donator at random to win a book box from one of the collaborating authors! US residents only due to shipping costs.

There is enough hate and negativity in the world, so I focus on being an agent for change through positivity and building hope. I strive to make all of my reader spaces, from my facebook group to my social media platforms, a place where we bring up others and discuss women’s issues in an empowering way. Instead of spreading hopelessness and highlighting all the negativity, I want to remind us all that we can fix it and empower my readers to do so.
I do this not only through highlighting strong, powerful women that become agents for radical change, but also through public campaigns supporting empowerment. I focus on always fostering an air of positivity, from my author club The Portland Romance Writers, to my street team, to my general readers.
I also am always looking for opportunities to be an advocate for my fellow woman and use my platform for good. Please reach out if you have an idea you would like me to participate in.
