Hello, my name is Hypatia Rhodes.
I am a dark fantasy romance author specializing in character-led stories that show those with the darkest pasts often have the brightest futures. My work features strong themes of women empowerment, feminine rage, and trauma to strength. But my goals and aspirations do not stop at the end of a page.
I believe in putting my money where my mouth is, which is why 10% of all profits from my books are donated to efforts supporting survivors of SA and DV.

For the time being, 10% of profits from my works will be going to support the Immigrant Emergency Response Fund. This fund aids immigrants illegally detained in the US gain financial support for their families, legal assistance, and more. There is enough hate and negativity in the world, so I focus on being an agent for change through positivity and building hope. I strive to make all of my reader spaces, from my facebook group to my social media platforms, a place where we bring up others and discuss women’s issues in an empowering way. Instead of spreading hopelessness and highlighting all the negativity, I want to remind us all that we can fix it and empower my readers to do so.
I do this not only through highlighting strong, powerful women that become agents for radical change, but also through public campaigns supporting empowerment. I focus on always fostering an air of positivity, from my author club The Portland Romance Writers, to my street team, to my general readers.
