So you want to join the PRW
We would be glad to have you! The Portland Romance Writers was founded in 2024 by President Hypatia Rhodes with the intention of being an author co-op set on helping local romance authors build a community while supporting and growing the local bookish community. The goal is for this club to be the one stop shop for all of your author needs. Resources, recommendations, author socials, marketing and outreach assistance, networking, and more. All of it can be found here! The theory of this club is that all of us, when we work together, can have a massive influence.
Joining this club is not for the faint of heart. It requires quite a bit of work, as we believe that every member must contribute. However, if you join and embrace the Portland Romance Writer community, you will see your author career grow in ways you never could have expected.
Please note we accept all authors, regardless of publication status. We strive to provide just as many opportunities for those working to release their first book as those with several series. We also accept all subgenres of romance.
To join our community, you must fill out the form below
Once you fill out this form, you will receive an invoice from the Portland Romance Writers for the membership fee. For 2026, this fee is $60. This fee is dropped to $40 in July of 2026 as you will only be paying for half a year. Upon receipt of payment, you will then receive an introductory email with everything you need to participate in this club.
